Born from Cambridge research.
BKWAI grew out of the University of Cambridge and the Centre for Smart Infrastructure & Construction.
Proprietary, deep-tech research, applied to assets that matter most.
We began with a research question: can multi-source monitoring data reliably predict how infrastructure behaves? Years of work at Cambridge and CSIC turned that into a platform that detects movement at millimetre scale, separates anomalies and areas of concern from normal behaviour, and forecasts where an asset is heading.
Today we work with landmark clients on bridges, tunnels, buildings and networks, bringing the rigour of a scientific journal to high-consequence engineering decisions.
The founding team behind the platform.
Dr Sakthy Selvakumaran
Chartered engineer, Fellow in Engineering at the University of Cambridge, and author of landmark papers on the use of satellite data in engineering and monitoring applications, Sakthy is one of the pre-eminent pioneers in the field. Her rare blend of deep-tech understanding and engineering application has helped define BKWAI as the gold standard in the sector.
Isambard Poulson
Highly experienced and successful technical leader and product expert, directing the development of the BKWAI platform. A multiple-time founder, with deep knowledge of building high performing, large data platforms, Isambard excels at growing and running organisations that deliver exceptional value data products to industry.
